Dr Dan Banos
About
Dan is a Registered (Licensed) Psychologist in clinical practice, and is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Queensland Rural School of Medicine. With more than 15 years of experience working in adult and child and youth mental health services, and having supervised provisionally registered and senior psychologists, he is currently based in Gin Gin and Bundaberg. He has an interest in lifestyle medicine for families, and child development, as well as parenting interventions.- Supervisor Training & Approval Program (STAP), Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), Circle of Security Parenting Approved Trainer, Triple P (primary care, stepping stones, fear-less)
Dr. Dan was part of the national committee reviewing the National Suicide Guidelines for the Australian Psychological Society (APS). He is a member of several professional organizations, including: The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) European Psychiatric Association Section of Suicidology (EPA) & Suicide Prevention Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine American College of Lifestyle Medicine American Psychological Association (APA) He has delivered over 50 workshops on Suicide Risk Assessment and Management in Emergency Departments to medical, nursing, and allied health clinicians.
