Dr Tien Tay is a dedicated rheumatologist committed to providing high-quality care for patients with rheumatic diseases. He has expertise in all aspects of rheumatic conditions, with a special interest in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and systemic vasculitis, including Giant cell arteritis and Polymyalgia Rheumatica.

Dr Tien graduated from the University of Sydney, completed his physician training in Sydney, and specialised in Rheumatology in Melbourne, including a fellowship in scleroderma. He is involved in the International Scleroderma Clinical Trials Consortium and has presented his work at both local and international conferences.

In Melbourne, Dr Tien has served as a consultant in an Arthritis and Biologic Clinic for inflammatory arthritis and an Osteoarthritis Hip and Knee Clinic. He also conducted a NHMRC-sponsored study comparing synovial fluid in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Dr Tien is an excellent communicator, fluent in both English and Mandarin.
