About
Gihan, or ‘Dr G’, is a GP with a passion for lifestyle medicine. He loves to help people solve two problems: unhappiness and preventable chronic disease.
For those who are suffering with their mental health, he coaches people to take a forward looking and action-oriented approach. This helps individuals identify and achieve their goals.
For those with preventable chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnoea or obesity, he prefers to use lifestyle change (e.g. exercise, diet, sleep and stress management) over prescriptions to prevent and even reverse (not a typo) conditions.
He also has a massive spot for the ageing population and children just because they are awesome to be around!
Alongside this work, he is a speaker, mentor and soon to be author who loves to help individuals and organisations optimise their wellbeing and performance. His first book, ‘Do Happy – A way to be happy all the time’, is due to be released in 2024.
