Opening Hours and Appointments We are open 6 days a week, with appointments available every day with all our practitioners and the nurse. For any enquiries about our services, please call our friendly receptionists. We bulk-bill all consultations and will inform you of any other out-of-pocket expenses prior to treatment. There are no charges for missed or cancelled appointments, but please inform us if you cannot attend. Additional information is available from reception. Emergencies and Appointments Emergencies will always be seen first—please inform reception immediately if your condition is an emergency. Unwell children will be given priority. Appointments can be made with the doctor of your choice; please inform reception if you need a long consultation (more than 15 minutes). Patients who are more than 30 minutes late will forfeit their appointment. Walk-in patients will be seen but may need to wait for scheduled appointments. Repeat scripts or referrals can be handled between appointments—let reception know. Please understand that we may run late due to emergencies. Test Results and Follow-Ups All patients should return to get their results as counselling and follow-up may need to be arranged, even if results appear normal. Results are given over the phone only in exceptional circumstances. X-rays need to be collected as they are destroyed after 1 month. If you do not hear from the doctor, do not assume your results are normal—they may have been lost in the post. Home Visits and After-Hours Care We provide home visits to our regular patients within a 10km radius, bulk billed. After-hours care is provided by Sydney Medical Services, bulk billed for weeknights after 6 pm, Saturdays after 1 pm, and 24 hours on Sundays and public holidays. Confidentiality Your medical records are confidential and will not be shared without your permission, except to another treating doctor, for court purposes, for medical insurance, for accreditation, in cases of child abuse, notifiable infectious disease, or unfitness to drive. You can access your medical records at any time. Preventive Care We are committed to preventive care. From time to time, we will send you reminders or recall letters if we need to see you for anything important. Please inform us if you do not want this option. Experience the difference in patient care at Marayong Medical Centre, where we prioritise your health and well-being.
