Dr. Georgia Bavin
In 2019, Dr. Georgia Bavin achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and received the RACGP Tasmania Examination Medal for achieving the highest score in the examination. Additionally, she holds an FPAA National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health, and a Diploma in Child Health, and is presently pursuing ASLM Accreditation in Lifestyle Medicine (AALM). Dr. Bavin has a particular focus on women's health, covering areas such as contraception, preconception health, fertility, antenatal GP shared care, and the comprehensive care of mothers and infants during the initial year of life. Her expertise extends to addressing issues like infant sleep, feeding, crying, and unsettled behaviour. She adopts a holistic, evidence-based approach known as Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC or the Possums programs) and earned accreditation as the first NDC practitioner in Tasmania after completing the requisite training. Dr. Bavin is enthusiastic about collaborating with families to overcome any challenges they may encounter with their infants. She also has a special interest in infertility and actively works with patients experiencing difficulty in conceiving. Dr. Bavin provides ovulation induction services, particularly beneficial for women with irregular cycles. Additionally, she offers pregnancy ultrasound services for patients within the clinic.
